Kairetool is The Beauty Tool That Might Just Replace My Facial Roller

This post was sponsored by Selfkaire and was gifted to me for review purposes. All thoughts are honest and my own.

When Selfkaire reached out to me about testing their new beauty tool, Kairetool, they definitely caught my attention because I've never seen anything like it before!

Kairetool was developed by Kathy and Elisha, two boss babes who are combining innovation and their knowledge of Eastern Medicine to develop new beauty tools. Kairetool is described by the brand as a "re-imagined facial roller."

If you've used a facial roller before, you might notice that some of them squeak (which isn't the most relaxing when you're in the middle of a self-care session), plus I've seen plenty of Instagram posts featuring broken facial rollers. So Selfkaire developed a tool that addresses this. It's made of surgical steel, so it's much sturdier than a traditional roller which is great for those of us that like to apply more pressure when massaging, and the gentle rounded pins at the end can be used to target acupressure points. Plus a huge bonus: it looks great on my vanity!

But what I love most about Kairetool is that it's more than just a beauty tool. It's incredibly versatile and it can be used on your body as well!

What are the Benefits of Kairetool?

When used on your face, Kairetool has many similar benefits to a facial roller. You can use it to reduce puffiness/fine lines and to soothe tension in your jaw. But being able to use it on my body has allowed me to reach a whole new level of self-care.

Not many people know this, but I suffer from chronic lower back pain which is partially caused by my tight calf muscles and tight hip flexors. Normally when I come home from work, I have to massage my legs and butt with a foam roller to help with the pain, so I was excited to see if Kairetool was able to give me relief in this area as well (spoiler alert: it does!).

And while I haven't been able to personally test this yet, Kairetool can also be used to detox over cellulite, stubborn fat, fine lines, and sagging skin. Or feel free to use it when you want to indulge in a relaxing at-home massage or post-workout to soothe achy muscles.

How to Use Kairetool on Your Face

I've found that my favorite way to use Kairetool is by first applying oil to my face to help it glide more easily and make sure it doesn't tug at my skin. You can use any oil you normally use in your skincare routine (my preferred oil is Tamanu Oil), or you can massage over a sheet mask which can also help the product penetrate better into your skin.

For a gentler massage I'll turn my Kairetool over onto its rounded end, which feels more similar to a traditional facial roller. I like to give extra attention to my jaw (an area that always holds a lot of tension for me since I grind my teeth at night), under my eyes, and around my smile lines and forehead. There's really no wrong way to use Kairetool. You can gently glide it in any direction you want and I find it really relaxing to take a few minutes out of the day to give my face a little extra TLC.

How to Use Kairetool on Your Body

After massaging my face for a few minutes, I rinsed my Kairetool and started on my legs. I prefer to use it over leggings, but you can use it over your bare skin as well. It's completely up to you!

I massaged over my calves and was surprised to find that I was able to get a more intense massage with Kairetool than I do with my foam roller! I also massaged a bit on my thighs and hip flexors, and pressed into my glutes on the pressure points that were recommended by my physical therapist (something I normally need to do by sitting on a tennis ball).

Selfkaire has some really helpful tutorials on their website that teach you how to use Kairetool on other areas of your body from your abs to your shoulders. I highly recommend watching them all to find out how to get the most use out of your Kairetool.

TL;DR

Normally in reviews I like to mention at least one thing I'd improve, but I really have nothing but great things to say about Kairetool. So often in the skincare community, we practice self-care on our skin but forget about the rest of our body, so I love that Selfkaire has created such a versatile tool that can be used to target so many different concerns.
