5 Asian Skincare Products I'm Loving From Glowie Co

I have to be honest and say that I used to get so overwhelmed shopping for Asian skincare products. There's a sea of amazing products out there and I had no idea where to start!

Glowie Co is a relatively new Asian skincare E-retailer based in LA that sells skincare products from Taiwan, Japan, and Korea and the range of products they offer is really impressive.

Their website does a great job breaking down all of the important info about each product like:

  • Product benefits
  • Key ingredients
  • What skin types the product works best for
  • And giving a little background info on the brand

So if you're newer to Asian skincare and feeling overwhelmed, I'd consider them a great place to start!

Glowie Co sent me a few products to try out and I'm pretty sure I found a few holy grail products along the way.

Keep reading for my mini reviews of each!

Glowie Co is a new Asian Skincare e-retailer that ships skincare produucts from Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. I tried 5 new Asian Skincare products from them including sheep masks, an oil cleanser (for double cleansing, of course!), and the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner.

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

Pyunkang Yul's Essence Toner is a lightweight but extremely hydrating toner and its minimal ingredient list makes it perfect for my sensitive skin. The main ingredient in this toner, Milk Vetch Root Extract, is packed with antioxidants.

I literally let out a sigh of happiness the moment I first tried this toner. I love it! The texture is somewhat viscous, it packs a hydrating punch, and my skin drinks it up.

I've been using it daily in my AM and PM routine by patting a few drops into damp skin immediately after cleansing. Depending on how dry my skin is feeling, I'll sometimes pat in a few layers for additional hydration.

I'd absolutely repurchase Pyunkang Yul's Essence Toner (and quick - because I'm almost done with my first bottle!). I'd highly recommend it to anyone that wants to add a lightweight layer of hydration to their skin.

Asian skincare products: Shiseido Tiss Deep Off Liquid Oil Cleanser (from Japan) and Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner (from Korea).

Shiseido TISS Deep Off Oil Cleanser

Anyone that knows me knows how much I love a good oil cleanser. Discovering the beauty of double cleansing truly changed my life and my skin.

Shiseido TISS Deep Off is a liquid cleansing oil that gently lifts makeup and debris off your skin without stripping it of any moisture.

Here's how to use it:

  1. Massage 2-3 pumps of Shiseido Tiss into dry skin
  2. Add a little bit of water and continue massaging to emulsify (this is when the cleanser starts to lather just slightly).
  3. Rinse.
  4. Follow up with a gentle, water-based cleanser if you're following a double cleansing routine.

This is actually the first liquid oil cleanser I've ever used. I'm normally a cleansing balm girl, but I've always wanted to try a liquid oil cleanser!

Shiseido Tiss Deep Off has a thin, watery consistency but still manages to be really effective! It easily removes my makeup and doesn't sting my sensitive eyes at all. There's no residue left behind and my skin feels soft and hydrated whenever I use it.

Annie's Way Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask

Annie's Way Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid Mask is a clear jelly mask. Annie's Way is a Taiwanese brand that's known especially for its jelly masks. I was super excited to give them a try!

The key ingredients of the mask are hyaluronic acid to hydrate and Alpha Arbutin to brighten skin and minimize pores.

To use this mask, take a skincare spatula and apply a thick layer to your skin. The thick texture of the mask made it really easy to apply without worrying about any of it dripping off my face.

The instructions recommend applying the mask to a thickness between .3-.5 cm. I kept mine on for around 20 minutes and then gently used the spatula to remove any excess jelly left on my skin and rinsed off.

Immediately after using it, it made my skin look brighter and my pores look smaller. I can definitely see myself testing more Annie's Way jelly masks in the future.

Annie's Way Green Tea Bubble Tea Sheet Mask

Annie's Way Bubble Tea Sheet Mask makes me crave bubble tea every single time I use it!

It claims to balance sebum, soothe, and moisturize - which sounds perfect for my oily skin!

This mask is packed with ingredients that have antioxidant, soothing, and anti-inflammatory properties like Green Tea Leaf, Boerhavia Diffusa Root Extract, and Burdock Root Extract. It also contains Witch Hazel which helps to reduce sebum in addition to having anti-inflammatory properties.

It's a very delicious, sweet green tea scent.

The essence used for this mask is very lightweight and watery so make sure to open it over a sink. The mask is soft and contains slits so that you can adjust the fit more easily.

I love to use this mask with my facial roller and, afterward, my skin always feels refreshed and redness from breakouts is reduced.

I'm really impressed with both products from Annie's Way and I think I'll need to explore more Taiwanese skincare brands after this!

My Beauty Diary Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask

Fun fact: My Beauty Diary is the first brand of sheet masks I ever tried years ago and I still love going back to their masks today!

Asian skincare: Hyaluronic acid hydrating sheet mask from My Beauty Diary

My Beauty Diary's Hyaluronic Acid Ultra Moisturizing Mask is made of fiber cloth and claims to hydrate your skin and leave it feeling moisturized and dewy. It includes hyaluronic acid to draw moisture into your skin along with Ruscus aculeatus extract and Arnica montana to firm and brighten skin.

This might be the best fitting sheet mask I've ever used! The thin, soft fiber cloth sits very comfortably on my face and even leaves enough room for me to comfortably move my mouth if I need to.

I applied it after cleansing and toning and after 15 minutes, my skin felt so hydrated and plump. I noticed there was still quite a bit of essence on my skin after removing the mask so I patted it in and then topped off my routine with a moisturizer.

Overall, I loved my experience with Glowie Co and I'm so excited to have a one-stop-shop to discover all kinds of Asian skincare products I've never tried before!
