Levitate Beauty Turns 2! And New Changes Coming to the Blog
Hi guys! Just stopping by for a quick Levitate Update because SO MUCH has gone on the past few weeks.
Levitate Beauty recently turned 2!
I started Levitate Beauty because I literally couldn't shut up about skincare. I needed a place to talk about it without boring my friends and family to death!
But what started as just a fun outlet became so much more.
I've been welcomed into one of the warmest communities of skincare addicts, bloggers, and fellow content creators. I couldn't be more grateful to all of you!
But hitting my 2 year anniversary has also caused me to reflect on my blog and my vision for it going forward.
Levitate Beauty is more than just a hobby now! And I want to make sure I give my amazing readers (that's you!) the best experience possible.
You may have noticed I haven't posted in a few weeks - that's because Levitate Beauty is going through a liiiitle revamp.
I'm working on updating some of my older posts to be more informative and helpful.
I'm improving the SEO in my old posts (now that I actually know a thing or two about blogging).
And I'm focusing on writing more helpful content for all of you!
So what can you expect from Levitate Beauty going forward?
More beginner-friendly educational content.
When I first started LB, I mainly wrote reviews for products I love. And while my reviews aren't going anywhere, I also want to provide more educational content. I remember how confused and overwhelmed I was when I first started learning about skincare.
But skincare shouldn't be complicated!
I want anyone to be able to learn how to start a routine, regardless of their background knowledge of skincare. So keep a lookout for more content breaking down how to build a routine and de-coding the language of skincare.

More on wellness
Self-care has always been a part of Levitate Beauty, but I want to put more weight on how important it is and how it connects to skincare. Skincare isn't just about the products you use, it's also so closely tied to your physical and mental health. I don't think I can give a full picture of a healthy skin routine without also covering other areas of health!
More acne-positivity and transparency
I've always talked about my struggle with acne (and while building my routine has significantly improved it, I just genetically have oily/acne-prone skin). But, I've often been scared to post photos of myself without makeup here because some people (wrongly) think that having acne means you're not worthy of giving skincare advice, when in fact it's quite the opposite.
But 1) my acne journey is an important part of my life and I have a lot of helpful knowledge and advice to give because of it. 2) I refuse to be ashamed of my acne and neither should you. I'm so incredibly proud of the progress my skin has made and I'm proud of the progress I've made in learning to love myself.
I want to remain as transparent as possible on here. So get ready for some personal skin updates and some more info on my acne-journey.
More Lifestyle Content
I don't intend to turn Levitate Beauty into a lifestyle blog. It's never been about that and I want to make sure that 90% of my content relates to skincare/beauty/self-care in some way.
But I've had several of you tell me you wish I'd inject more of my life into this thing. So I'm doing it!
I get a lot of questions about my vanity space and the decor I buy for my photos. So I'll occasionally throw in some posts about that.
In addition, I'm starting a monthly non-skincare-related favorites series. Each month I'll post some of my non-skincare-related favorites and you can post yours too! I think it'll be a great way to get to know each other and make friends in the community.

A change in my posting schedule: Slightly fewer Instagram posts in exchange for more consistent weekly blog posts
More on this later, but the gist of it is... I LOVE BLOGGING.
Instagram is fun, but writing/blogging is what makes me happiest.
But because my instagram was growing significantly faster than my website, I feel like I haven't given my blog the time and love it deserves.
It's time to change that!
So I'll be on Instagram daily to talk skincare with you all on via your posts and my stories, but I'll likely only be posting to my feed a few times a week while I get the hang of my new schedule of NEW BLOG POSTS EVERY WEEK. Woo hoo!
So...
I hope you're excited for all the new changes ahead, because I am!
